How Do They Work?
It’s simple; all you need to set up a personal alarm is a telephone socket and a mains electricity socket nearby. You will then need to choose two people who have a key to your house who live within a 20 minute drive and would be willing to come and help if you needed assistance. Alternatively, you could choose just one key holder and keep a second key in a key safe outside your house (if you don’t have a key safe one can be fitted for you for a small additional cost).
You can select from a discreet pendant or bracelet that will carry the personal alarm. If you need help, simply press a button on your pendant and an alert will be sent to a dedicated 24 hour help team who will be able to get you the assistance you need, either by phoning your emergency contacts or, if necessary, the emergency services.
Who Will I Be Talking To?
A trained response team are waiting at the end of the phone line any time you need help- just press the button on your alarm. They will communicate with you via the alarm’s loudspeaker and arrange the best help for you, as soon as possible.
Even if you are unable to speak, they’ll know who you are and where you’re calling from, meaning they can get support to you quickly and efficiently.
Once they have directed the right help to your home, they’ll follow up and make sure you’re doing okay, by asking the emergency services or your nominated key holder to let them know. If they don’t hear back within the hour, they will contact you or the emergency services just to double check that everything is okay.
The qualified call team are happy to help you any time of the day, 24/7, even if you just need a little bit of advice or reassurance. To start benefiting from this amazing service, get a quote now.
